Seattle Fine Jewelry finds a home at The Landing

With the grand opening on June 17, Renton has a family-owned jewelry store once again.

Since the closing of Garland’s Jewelry back in 2018, Renton has been without a locally-owned, full-service jewelry store — until now.

With the opening of Seattle Fine Jewelry at The Landing, Rentonites can now step into a brick-and-mortar jewelry store, but with a modern twist.

“We’re very excited to get our SFJ team into retail space at The Landing, and look forward to serving the great need in the community for a local, passionate, full-service family jeweler,” said Nancy Villaluz, who co-owns the store with her husband, Ramir Villaluz. The two are both graduate gemologists from the Gemological Institute of America with Ramir also a bench jeweler and the master craftsman.

Originally a web-based jewelry store since 2012, Seattle Fine Jewelry offers a digital-only showroom where all in-stock jewelry is photographed with videos, and displayed with pertinent info on the walls, giving the feeling of a walk-in website.

Each piece has its own QR Code to view the full information, more photos, and a video of the piece. Jewelry can be pulled from their high-security vaults and viewed in person upon completion of the customer intake process.

“We believe our new home at The Landing will be a welcoming place for all kinds of customers with all kinds of jewelry needs, be that jewelry purchases, in-house jewelry repairs are done while you wait, custom designs, professional jewelry appraisals, gem identification, and expert gemologist consulting to help solve the mysteries in an inherited box of jewelry. We even offer watch or car remote battery changing services,” said Nancy.

Seattle Fine Jewelry has a full in-house gem laboratory, and in-house jeweler’s benches including all the classic bench tools, plus both pulse-arc welder and laser-welding technology for the most precise jewelry work even on delicate items.

Available services include sales of new jewelry, plus a full array of eco-friendly restored vintage pieces, jewelry repairs, gem identification, appraisals, custom fine jewelry and custom bridal jewelry, and a full “Jewelry Spa” where jewelry pieces can be brought back to their full sparkle through professional cleaning and polishing, and more.

Located at 822 North 10th Place, between Trencher’s Kitchen and Tap and Vino at the Landing, Seattle Fine Jewelry is by appointment only on Mondays, with regular walk-ins the rest of the week. The store is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
